①当 WMS 高于 80 时，处于超卖状态，行情即将见底，应当考虑买进。
②当 WMS 低于 20 时，处于超买状态，行情即将见顶，应当考虑卖出。
这里 80 和 20 只是一个经验数字，并不是绝对的。同时，WMS 在使用过程中应该注意与其他技术指标相配合。在盘整过程中，WMS 的准确性较高;而在上升或下降趋势当中，却不能只以 WMS 超买超卖信号作为行情判断的依据。
第二，从 WMS 的曲线形状考虑。这里介绍背离原则以及撞顶和撞底次数的原则。
①在 WMS 进入低数值区位后(此时为超买)，一般要回头。如果这时股价还继续上升，就会产生背离，是卖出的信号。
②在 WMS 进入高数值区位后(此时为超卖)，一般要反弹。如果这时股价还继续下降，就会产生背离，是买进的信号。
③WMS 连续几次撞顶(底)，局部形成双重或多重顶(底)，则是卖出(买进)的信号。
